Founded by Pierre-Alexandre Nuoffer, an international regatta competitor since 1997, coach and sailing expert for more than 20 years, our structure puts its know-how at your service to help you succeed.

The ten learning themes

1. The lake environment
Knowledge of the body of water (speed limits in the harbour, coastal areas), knowledge of winds (bise, west wind, joran, môlan, etc.)

2. SAFETY ON BOARD
Firefighting, water ingress, measures in the event of damage and collisions, engine failure, beaching the boat, weather assessment, possible measures to be taken, anchoring manoeuvres.

3. NOMENCLATURE
Knowledge of boats and nautical vocabulary (stern, bow, hull, stem, freeboard, etc.)

4. PREPARING THE BOAT
Checking the boat and safety equipment on board, checking fuel levels, starting the engine.

5. SAILING
Knowledge of boats and nautical vocabulary (stern, bow, hull, stem, freeboard, etc.)

6. NAVIGATION
Sailing at different speeds (upwind, downwind, crosswind, headwind), maintaining a course, various manoeuvres performed at high speed.

7. FORWARD/REAR DOCKING
Departure and docking at a starboard and port landing stage in forward and reverse gear.

8. FORWARD/REVERSE PARKING
Perpendicular approach in forward and reverse gear and parking between two boats.

9. MAN OVERBOARD
Rescue manoeuvre for a person who has fallen into the water (time limit: 2 minutes).

10. 180° TURN
Turning on a narrow stretch of water (turning on the spot in a channel).
